Game of Thrones actor Darren Kent passed away after dealing with persistent health issues. He was 39.
Darren Kent talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, posted a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday to confirm his passing.
We must inform you with great sadness that Darren Kent, a beloved friend and client, died away peacefully on Friday.
By his side were his parents and best friend, the message said. “In this trying time, our thoughts and affection are with his family. My friend, RIP.

Kent was 39 when he passed away, according to Samantha Dodd of the Carey Dodd Associates, who confirmed this to CNN. Dodd omitted to mention the cause of death.
The actor, who was born in Essex, England, is most known for his role as a goatherder from Slavers Bay in an episode of the popular HBO drama series Game of Thrones.
He also made appearances in the long-running British TV program EastEnders and the 2012 movie Snow White and the Huntsman.
His other credits include Marshal’s Law, Community, Bloody Cuts, Shameless, and the BBC production of Les Misérables.
His breakthrough performance came in the 2008 horror film Mirrors. In the most recent movie he appeared in, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, he played a reanimated corpse.
Kent’s performance in the short Sunny Boy earned him an award for outstanding actor at the 2012 Van D’or Independent Film Awards.
In addition, he produced and directed a number of other short films, such as the January Award-winning You Know Me from 2021 and the 2019 shorts Rogue Trader.
Kent had a number of ongoing medical conditions, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, and a unique skin condition.
In Sunny youngster, which featured a youngster with a unique skin ailment that prevented him from being in the sun, he drew inspiration from his own life.
The BBC reported that Kent supported Equal People Performing Arts, a non-profit that encourages inclusivity in the performing arts.
In a memorial to his deceased buddy on X, Lee Mead, a fellow patron, called Kent “an amazing human being.”
He is constantly giving of his time to others and is usually so upbeat. He was a great actor and accomplished a lot as well. Such tragic news,” Mead continued.
In addition to paying respect on X, director and screenwriter Jane Gull shared a number of images of the late actor onscreen.
